Originally practicing as a pharmacist in rural Murray Bridge and Barossa region in South Australia for 7 years, Mr Albert Yeap moved to Victoria 10 years ago with the aim to be part of an allied care team, and assist doctors to service patients with diabetes alongside other chronic conditions.
Mr Albert Yeap did his traineeship in the Alfred Hospital, and the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.
He heads to Darwin every three months alongside the allied health team to service patients in the remote, and indigenous communities.
Mr Yeap is able to assist patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) management, and support patients on a pump, continuous glucose monitoring device.
Mr Yeap will be consulting at Valewood clinic once a month on a Saturday.
In addition to English, Albert also speaks Cantonese, Malay, and Mandarin.
