Frequently Asked Question
Immunisations introduce an inactivated or safe and weakened form of a virus or bacteria to the body. This helps the immune system create antibodies to fight off the disease without causing the illness itself, providing long-term protection against future infections.
Yes, you can book for your child's immunisation appointment online through our website. Alternatively, feel free to call our clinic directly, and our friendly reception staff will be happy to assist you in scheduling a time.
Vaccines and immunisation are related, but they are not the same thing. A vaccine is the substance administered, usually by injection, to help protect against a disease. Immunisation is the process by which the body develops immunity to that disease after vaccination. In other words, vaccination is the act of receiving the vaccine, and immunisation is the protection that develops as a result.
