Skin check
Get a skin check from a qualified skin doctor at Advanced Skin Cancer Centre, located next door at 1403 Heatherton Road, Dandenong North.
As Australia has the highest incidence of skin cancer in the world, it is extremely important to be proactive in having your skin checked regularly by a doctor, and also undertaking self-checks to identify any changes to spots and blemishes on your skin. Taking these steps in checking your skin assists in the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, which in turn reduces melanoma mortality and non-melanoma skin cancer morbidity.
This is a 15 minute skin cancer check using state-of-the-art Fotofinder technology for mole photography and video dermoscopy.
Skin cancers account for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers, and the majority of skin cancers in Australia are caused by exposure to UV radiation in sunlight.
The doctors at Advanced Skin Cancer Centre also remove benign skin lesions, typically around the neck and face, using radiofrequency for cosmetic purposes.
How much does a skin check cost?
Full Skin Check is a $150 (pensioners $130)
Spot check up to 3 spots $110 (pensioners $100)
